DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY ADVISOR

ACCORD DANGEREUX ROUTIER / DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY ADVISOR

EU Directive 96/35/EC, now UK law, requires any undertaking involving the loading, unloading or transport of dangerous goods by road, to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). 

This legislation applies to all shippers, road carriers, air carriers, freight agents and handling agents who are involved in road transport of dangerous goods above the limited quantity exemptions.

At Richard Lester Transport we take H&S very seriously and realise that some of our clients require us to transport certain amounts of Flammable Liquids to and from site. So rather than just running under the basic Small Load rule we decided that we could do better than that and be better prepared and professional while carrying this type of load.

On the successful completion of their probationary period all our driver/operators undertake a full ADR Class 3 Tank course (Flammable Liquids) enabling them to understand and demonstrate safe carriage of flammable liquids under the current Laws and Regulation.
